Starting in Government Camp, this challenging, 7-mile climb lets you warm up by riding east on Government Camp Loop Road, and then after a quick, quarter-mile ride on Hwy 26, you begin your trek up West Leg Road. Six miles of switchbacks on this low traffic road through alpine forest will leave a feeling of peaceful solitude as you ascend the 6-10% grade road up to 6,000’, to the awe-inspiring Timberline Lodge. Reward yourself with a craft beer while Mt. Hood towers above you, before cruising back down to Government Camp.
