Dinner in the Field, Terra Vina Wines

MID-WEEK ADVENTURE: Mt. Hood

If you’re planning a trip to Mt. Hood for some of our spectacular hiking trails, consider starting a new tradition and stop for a bit of wine tasting afterwards! These off-beat mountain wineries won’t mind if you’re dressed for hiking, and they have some pretty delicious offerings. Plus, they’re both open Thursday – Sunday so they’re the perfect way to get a head start on the weekend.

Morning - Hike

Hike one of our favorite trails on Mt. Hood! Get an early start to beat the crowds and to make sure you have plenty of time for afternoon wine tasting.

4pm - Boring Winery & Taproom

After you refuel with lunch, end the day with a wine tasting stop at Boring Winery & Tap Room. Try a tasting of their diverse varietals and get half off with your Wine Trail passport. They also feature local beer and ciders on tap, all of which you can enjoy on their outdoor patio.

WINE TRAIL BONUS: Wilsonville

Terra Vina Vineyard

Located just outside Wilsonville (about an hour drive from Mt. Hood or 30 minutes from Portland), Terra Vina Vineyard is not to be missed. Their elegant tasting room overlooks their vineyard and on a clear day has some fantastic views of Mt. Hood. The catch? Their vineyard tasting room is only open the second Saturday of each month, and for some special holidays (be sure to check their calendar). If you’re lucky enough to time your trip right, bring a friend for a 2 for 1 tasting with the Wine Trail passport.
