Join Indigenous/Black artists, vendors and entrepreneurs for a weekend of music, food, community and much more. Portland Indigenous Marketplace supports Indigenous artists and entrepreneurs by providing barrier-free, culturally respectful spaces that encourage cultural resilience and economic sustainability by promoting public education through cultural arts and is currently partnered with over 140 indigenous artists.

Doernbecher and Timberline have teamed up to bring you an inspiring, supportive, hope filled distraction, a day-of-days on Mt. Hood. Join them Labor Day weekend for Timberline Daydream, a celebration of music, brews, and bikes at historic Timberline Lodge benefiting OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Enjoy food and drink at the Lodge's restaurant or from the event's beer garden. More information coming soon.

Nate Botsford has set forth on his own path of country rock, taking in influences of some of the best songwriters (Cash, Dylan and Morrison) while throwing in a touch of big band in honor of his piano-playing grandfather. With country and faith in his blood, Nate writes lyrics that anyone who listens “can feel were written just for them to find a glimmer of hope.” Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and sun hats as seating will be limited and on a first come first seated.

Celebrate engineering innovations designed and used by First Nations in Oregon. This exhibit will explore how Native Americans have used knowledge, creativity, and ingenuity to solve problems for thousands of years, and continue to do so today. Participants will be invited to try their own hand at engineering, while learning from examples of traditional Indigenous technologies related to housing, travel, tools, recreation, resource management, and more. This program is offered by the Museum of Natural and Cultural History as part of the 2024 Summer Reading Program.

Swan Island Dahlias invites you to celebrate the season of Dahlias! A Rainbow of Color! Stroll through almost 40 acres and a beautiful display garden of stunning dahlias featuring over 370 varieties. Their beautiful fields are open from August to September each year, closed on Monday and Tuesday. Pick out and order your favorite dahlias for Spring delivery and planting. Purchase a beautiful bunch of cut dahlias to take home with you or to make someone’s day. Visit the Gift Shop with hundreds of local treasures, open year-round. Fill your belly with yummy treats from our Food Carts, relax and enjoy the Live Music on Saturday & Sundays, attend the Sunday Farmer's Market, or take one of their classes throughout the festival dates.

Visit our list of area Farmers Markets open through out the week from April through October. The farmers markets in Mt. Hood Territory are packed with delicious local offerings, eye catching arts and foot-stomping live music. Each community's market is as unique as the towns themselves, and all showcase the impressive bounty available in Oregon. Saunter past booths highlighting local produce, prepared foods, specialty drinks and local honey. Roam aisles of brightly colored flowers, handmade products and arts and crafts. Arrive on bike, foot or by car, and bring your appetite and basket ready to fill up on fresh, local veggies and fragrant fruits.

A monthly, mid-week (Wednesday is Hump Day) dedicated nurturing yourself and honoring your creative spirit while meeting new friends. All are welcome -- all genders, all backgrounds, all hobby crafts (as long as they're portable enough to carry with you!). Events are free, and held in public venues. Bring whatever you need for your quilting, scrap booking, painting, beadwork, sewing, knitting, stained glass, drawing, ceramics, basket weaving, needlepoint, whittling, wood burning, or any other fanciful project.
