EVENTS

Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. Biochar Bonanza - Collection Event Produced By: Clackamas River Ranger District

Time: 8am - 1pm

Clackamas River Ranger District staff invites neighbors and local businesses for a fun day collecting biochar created from Riverside Fire wood debris. This charcoal-like, carbon-rich product is made from burning organic materials, like wood debris, in an air curtain burner container at high temperatures with little oxygen. Biochar can improve soil health and quality by increasing its organic matter, microorganisms, and nutrients. It’s useful as a soil amendment, usually blended with other amendments like compost, grass clippings, and manure. The available biochar was produced from wood waste from hazard trees and slash from the 2020 and 2021 wildfires.

eNRG Kayaking Presents: Live Music on the Water eNRG Kayaking

Farmers Markets Throughout Clackamas County

Visit our list of area Farmers Markets open through out the week from April through October. The farmers markets in Mt. Hood Territory are packed with delicious local offerings, eye catching arts and foot-stomping live music. Each community's market is as unique as the towns themselves, and all showcase the impressive bounty available in Oregon. Saunter past booths highlighting local produce, prepared foods, specialty drinks and local honey. Roam aisles of brightly colored flowers, handmade products and arts and crafts. Arrive on bike, foot or by car, and bring your appetite and basket ready to fill up on fresh, local veggies and fragrant fruits.

Summer Cider Small Batch Fest! Stone Circle Cider

Small batch ciders are taking over all weekend! Stone Cider will be devoting all but 2 of their taps to their favorite small batch ciders. The list will include multiple once thought extinct vintages and rotate throughout the weekend. In addition, they'll be releasing 2023 vintages of their Estate Scrumpy made exclusively from apples grown right there on the farm! Stone Circle Cider is the feature Tap Trail partner for July and tap trail passport visitors will receive an additional discount, so bring your passports or sign up when you get there!

Waldo is popping up all over Milwaukie this July! The famous children’s book character in the striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is visiting locally owned small businesses throughout the Milwaukie/Oak Grove area. Those who spot him can win prizes, gift certificates to local businesses and more! Find Waldo Local is a great summer vacation activity, and a wonderful way to check out local businesses! Participants can pick up a “Find Waldo Local in Milwaukie!” passport at Spoke & Word Books. Then visit participating businesses from July 1st-27th and get your passport stamped or signed for each Waldo you spot! Bring your completed Where's Waldo Passport to the Meet Waldo Party on Saturday, July 27th, 2024!
