Virtual Mt. Hood Territory Easter Egg Hunt

We hid colorful Easter eggs in photos of popular attractions and events throughout Mt. Hood Territory, so you can enjoy a little hunt while we all practice our social distancing. We hope you have fun, while also planning for your future trip.

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm Easter egg hunt

We started with an easy one. While the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is canceled this year, you can still bring a bit of that beautiful magic to your home through online orders. There is also the Wooden Shoe Vineyards wine tasting room on their farm, so once we're given the green light to explore again, you may want to check out some of their delicious creations. (Hint: There are eight eggs.)

The story behind Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm

Hidden Falls easter egg hunt

We hid nine eggs in the photo above. You may not be familiar with this waterfall, even though it's located only half an hour from downtown Portland in the happiest community around. This is Hidden Falls in Happy Valley. You can access this tranquil little spot through our Mt. Hood Territory Trails Guide, featuring a dozen lesser-known hikes. These will be perfect to explore when we can get back out there.

Skibowl mountain biking easter egg hunt

Mt. Hood is well-known as a snow sports destination, but it's been gaining a reputation as a mountain biking hot spot as well. Last year Timberline Lodge opened their lift-assisted mountain bike park, making it the third facility on the mountain. Pictured here is Mt. Hood Skibowl, which also has lift-assisted trails on top of a huge selection of adventurous summer activities. Add in the world-class enduro-style trails at Sandy Ridge, and you've got three days of riding ahead of you when travel opens up again. Oh, and there are six eggs in this photo.

Willamette Falls easter egg hunt

Now this waterfall, hiding five eggs by the way, you probably recognize. This is Willamette Falls, an icon between Oregon City and West Linn. Not only is this impressive cascade beautiful and a popular destination itself, but also a focal point for much of the rich history of the region.

Field and Vine Dinner easter egg hunt

Mt. Hood Territory extends into the Willamette Valley, known for bountiful farms producing all the ingredients necessary for an amazing meal, not to mention the perfect wine to accompany it. Once travel resumes, explore our Farm Loops, which also include all sorts of adorable animals and some great events. This final photo has five eggs hidden in it.

We look forward to being able to go out and explore Mt. Hood Territory again. In the meantime, we hope these photos have inspired ideas for your next trip.
