Stay at Mt. Hood Tiny House Village in Oregon

One of the hottest trends in houses - and vacation homes - are Tiny Houses. The adorably sustainable structures pack all the amenities of modern living into a small footprint that's easy to move, and is still easy on the eyes. This trend is thriving in Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory at the Mt. Hood Tiny House Village.  

The Village opened in May 2016 at Mt. Hood Village RV Resort & Campground in Welches, Oregon with five tiny living spaces chocked full of character and ranging from 175 to 260 square feet and $139-$165/night. Another two tiny homes, Ingrid and Anderson, have since been added, bringing the total choices to seven. 

Guests are encouraged to enjoy all of the amenities available at Mt. Hood Village Campground, including the indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, café and walking paths. With Mt. Hood National Forest as its backdrop, these homes offer guests a chance to experience the back-to-basics lifestyle while enjoying an adventure-filled stay while in Mt. Hood Territory. 

Each of the five homes has its own personality, which is accurately reflected in the name. The Atticus is tall with modern, masculine finishes, much like the character of the same name in To Kill a Mockingbird. And much like his namesake, the Lincoln reflects an intellectual and humble personality. The minimalist décor is still comfortable and appeals to the outdoor enthusiast. Zoe is fun, light and carefree, with a look inside and out that could only be described as whimsical. The Savannah model is the "girly" model, but the folks at the Village say she considers that a compliment. Bright with a southern charm, this model just exemplifies happy. The Scarlett model showcases farmhouse style with the interior displaying a modern twist on classic styles. 

A saying made popular a decade or so ago is "Go big or go home." We think that should be changed to "Go big with a tiny home." At the Mt. Hood Tiny House Village, it's easy to do just that.
