Farmers markets are one of the best ways to really learn the identity of a community you're visiting, and this is certainly true with Sandy's Mount Hood Farmers Market. Taking place every Friday afternoon from 3-7pm starting in May and running through October, the market features foods grown locally as well as art and gifts crafted by local makers. Located at the entrance to Sandy's downtown district, it's a nice prelude to an afternoon of shopping and dining in Sandy.
Otto's Ski Shop has been the go-to spot for winter visitors to gear up for some Nordic skiing or snowshoeing adventures on Mt. Hood for nearly 40 years.
