Drink: Happy Valley — Clackamas

The Portland region is known for it's craft beverage scene, and that's definitely the case in Happy Valley and Clackamas. I great selection of craft beer makers, cideries and tap houses show off the very talented makers who call these communities home. If you'd like to have a little food as well, here's a list of top restaurants in Happy Valley and Clackamas.

Happy Valley Ciderworks

The makers at Happy Valley Ciderworks pride themselves on their modern ciders made with a nod towards the old traditions. Their menu features their "core" ciders where are always on tap along with seasons favorites that rotate in and out throughout the year.

Little Beast Brewing

Little Beast Brewing is one of the newest stops in Clackamas, although their name carries some recognition. They're known from their tasting room in Portland, but they've recently opened a tasting room at their brewery location in Clackamas. They specialize in mixed culture fermentation and fruited, wild beers. Their attention to the details has gained them quite the following.

Portland Cider Co.

Portland Cider Co. came on to the scene in 2013 and quickly became one of the largest cideries around. It may be due to their focus on sourcing high-quality ingredients from local growers, or their aversion to any artificial flavors and colors. Whatever the reason is, they have produced a huge number of ciders and their popularity continues to grow. You can find their cider at many stores regionally and beyond, but the true experience is at the tasting room right off of I-205 in Clackamas. They also have an extensive food menu with burgers, salads and other favorites. The tots though, the tots are nothing short of amazing.

Valley Public House

Valley Public House is a veritable showcase of awesomeness sourced from local brewers paired with delicious food from Tamale Boy and Ranch Pizza. They offer a selection of 70 beers, ciders, wine and cocktails, most of which is sourced from local makers. Drop in for lunch or dinner and then explore the extensive tap list and find your old favorite; or perhaps a new one.
