For the ninth episode of our podcast, Territory Tales, we picked the brain of Bigfoot enthusiast and celebrity Cliff Barackman, owner of the Northwest American Bigfoot Center in the community of Boring that opened in 2019. I use the word "we" loosely though since more accurately our host Jarrod Lyman and Cliff mostly geeked out over their evenly matched enthusiasm and knowledge of all things Bigfoot, while cohost Molly says she mostly nodded along with a bewildered look on her just trying to keep up!
None the less, it was a truly fascinating and enlightening conversation, whether you are a believer or not. Cliff is incredibly knowledgeable on the subject seeing as he was the evidence analyst for the hit show "Finding Bigfoot" for the last decade and has worked in the field for over 25 years. Since Mt. Hood Territory has the most reported Bigfoot sightings of any county in Oregon, it only made sense that Cliff will open his center here.
He dives deep into his background, the Sasquatch community, Bigfoot sightings and, of course, the center itself. He also addresses the skeptics in a genuinely helpful way, making it a holistic, honest conversation that truly drew me in having very little prior Bigfoot interest, plus it delighted a fellow aficionado.
