Clackamas County Fair and Event Center began in 1907. Moving to its current location in Canby Oregon, South Clackamas County in 1908. Clackamas County is a beautiful county spanning urban, mountain, and valley regions, just as diverse is the Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center (CCEC).
The mid-August County Fair draws 130,000 annual attendees and hosts The Canby Rodeo, which made its fair debut in 1958, and has grown into a nationally recognized PRCA rodeo. The Rodeo draws world-champion athletes and spectators from all over the world. Aside from the County Fair and Rodeo, the CCFEC holds a multitude of events throughout the year ranging from weddings to concerts.
Some fun events set to happen at the CCFEC scheduled for 2022 include:
• Spring in the Country Bazaar: April 3-9, 2022
Over 100 vendors will be selling handcrafted items at our 32nd annual Spring Show! Items featured will be birdhouses, garden art, collectables, home décor, plants gourmet treats and more!
• Spring Garden Fair: April 30 – May 1, 2022
The Spring Garden Fair has been held the weekend before Mother’s Day since 1984. Our event began as a small fuchsia sale – it has grown to a two day event with over 140 vendors and 8000 + gardeners attending each year. And with favorites like 10 Minute University™, Free pH Soil Testing and Ask an O.S.U. Master Gardener, it’s well worth the drive out to Canby for our two day event!
• Clackamette Mineral & Gem Show: May 28-29, 2022
As you probably know, we are pretty passionate about rocks, and we would like to share this passion with you. Please come and join us for our 58th annual gem and mineral show in Canby, Oregon. While there will definitely be enthusiastic rock hounds of all ages and from all walks of life, there will be lots of good fun to be had by everyone. There will be activities for kids, demonstrations for adults, silent actions, bargain rock sale and of course various dealer booths.
• Oregon Renaissance Faire: June 4-5 & June 11-12, 2022
We invite you to experience the Vale of Dunrose, Scotland at the Oregon Renaissance Faire — an imaginative and interactive adventure modeled after elements from the the Renaissance era, led by the beloved Queen of Scots, Mary Stewart. Patrons can experience village folk celebrating a visit from their Queen and her royal court with the sights, sounds, smells, era-appropriate music, demonstrations, a variety of entertainers, and the arts, crafts, wares, and lifestyles of the Renaissance era in Scotland.
• Clackamas Kennel Club Dog Show: June 24-26, 2022
The Clackamas Kennel Dog Show is one of the largest dog shows! Attracting participants from many other countries around the globe. Come participate or spectate these world class dogs as they perform at an extremely high level.
• Harefest 10: July 9-10, 2022
Enjoy this awesome event with 23 outstanding bands on 4 stages, delicious selection of food, onsite camping, and a giant party of Rock N’ Roll Revelers! This is one you won’t want to miss out on.
• Oregon Bigfoot Festival: July 30, 2022
Want a festival all about the mystical Bigfoot? This festival will meet your expectations and then some with seminars from experts such as Cliff Barackman, Jason Hawes and David Schraber! You too will be leaving a believer of the great Bigfoot!
• Clackamas County Fair & Rodeo, August 16-20, 2022
The Clackamas County Fair & Rodeo has been a great tradition of Clackamas County since 1907! Come indulge on your fair food, get your excitement of the Carnival and a Rodeo that is one of the best in the Northwest!
• Cutsforth Cruise-In: August 27, 2022
Come view one of the largest Car Shows in Oregon with over 500+ classic vehicles! This event fills the fairgrounds with beautiful classic cars and trucks. Grab some delicious food from local concessionaires and get your steps in as you view these jaw dropping classics!
• Clackamas County Scare Fair: Select dates in October 2022
Wanting to get scared? This event is for you! The Clackamas County Scare Fair is a great partnership with Creatures of the Night. Come get your scream on as you walk through this haunted house.
• Country Christmas Bazaar: November 7-13, 2022
Over 150 vendors will be selected to sell handcrafted items at our 50th annual Christmas Event! Items featured will be Christmas and Fall decorations, collectibles, home décor, gourmet treats, and much more!
• Clackamas County Winter Fair: Select dates November-December 2022
Looking to walk through thousands of lights with your friends and family? The Winter Fair is the perfect Christmas event where you can view a beautiful selection of lights and get your photos with Santa! Make this a tradition for your family as we look to always add a new feature every year!
Whether it be a large ticket event or smaller get together utilizing one of our many buildings, the grounds is diverse in what it can be executed for. CCFEC has been a host to many in need as an emergency evacuation center as well. During the fire, flood, and winter seasons CCFEC has been a place where animals and their owners can come for safety in a time of need.
