Boring residents are used to people making fun of the name. They've always taken it well as they know there's a lot more to their little community that most realize. In fact, business has been booming lately in Boring; it turns out Boring, Oregon isn't that boring after all! There's plenty to see and do here, and it definitely has more than its fair share of great places to eat.
No roundup of this community would be complete without mentioning one of the newer additions to the scene, the North American Bigfoot Center. Created by Finding Bigfoot alum Cliff Barackman, the museum holds a huge number of casts, photos, videos and other pieces of evidence all pointing at who just may be the Pacific Northwest's most famous, yet rarely seen, resident.

The three communities have banded together in a trifecta of proving that a name isn't everything. Boring & Dull Community Day happens at Boring Station Trailhead Park and is a fun way for the community and its residents to come together and show a little civic pride.

Bushue's Farm is another great place for families in the fall and the late spring and early summer. Picking strawberries each year as a tradition for many local families, as is their pumpkin patch. Speaking of coffee, Boring Bean's story is just as good as it's fair trade coffee. It started when they began roasting coffee outside the office door of their other business, Boring Bark. It was initially for their hard working crew as well as landscaping customers. But the popularity of the coffee soon grew beyond, as did their roasting operation. Just as many people visiting the landscaping business for a great cup of joe as do people decorating their yard.
Keek's Treats and Café is an adorable little shop located near the Boring Station Trailhead. Their menu consists of delicious breakfast sandwiches as well as other smaller breakfast stables. Unlike the newcomers, the Red Apple Restaurant is a perennial favorite for those who live in the area since 2010. They offer a menu filled with both Chinese and American favorites, giving you quite the choice. The Mongolian Beef, however, is nothing short of incredible.
