When the snow begins falling on Mt. Hood, skiers and snowboarders eagerly await news of opening day at Mt. Hood Skibowl. In addition to having the most black diamond runs in the state of Oregon, Skibowl features 36 fully lit runs making it the largest night ski area in the United States. As the closest ski resort to Portland, Skibowl is also home to the Snow Tube and Adventure Park, making it a favorite among families and groups.

Timberline Lodge & Ski Area boasts the Pacific Northwest’s largest vertical terrain with 3,690 vertical feet (1,125 meters) and some of the state’s most scenic skiing. The lodge is a National Historic Landmark and is the only ski-in/ski-out lodge in Oregon. Timberline maintains multiple terrain parks throughout the year with enough jibs, jumps and pipes to keep even the hardest of the hardcore happy.

Sleigh and Carriage RidesThe sounds of the horses hooves, mixed with the jingle bells hung from the reigns, brings out the true spirit of the winter season.
