Timberline Lodge & Ski Area boasts the Pacific Northwest’s largest vertical terrain with 3,690 vertical feet (1,125 meters) and some of the state’s most scenic skiing. The lodge is a National Historic Landmark and is the only ski-in/ski-out lodge in Oregon. Timberline maintains multiple terrain parks throughout the year with enough jibs, jumps and pipes to keep even the hardest of the hardcore happy.

The Snow Tube and Adventure Park at Mt. Hood Skibowl is fun for all ages. Skibowl offers the only tube conveyor lift on Mt. Hood. The Snow Tube and Adventure Park is open weekends and school holiday periods during the winter. For the more adventurous, try steeper runs on the Extreme Tube Hill (open based on conditions). The Snow Tube and Adventure Park also includes the indoor Super Play Zone, Kids Tubing Carousel, Frosty’s Playland and more!
The sounds of the horses hooves, mixed with the jingle bells hung from the reigns, brings out the true spirit of the winter season. Belgian and Morgan Draft horses will guide you through the historic village of Government Camp. Sleigh and carriage rides are for all ages and can be a family adventure or a romantic getaway. Plan ahead because reservations for this adventure are limited. Tours usually run the last three weeks of December and the first week of January.
