Snowy hike and Mt. Hood

SNOW PLAY

The Mountain is a jolly good place to play in the winter – for families and extreme adventurers alike. Ski, snowboard, go snowmobiling, cross country ski or snowshoe. Treat the kids to tubing, sledding, snowball fights and hot chocolate. Rent the equipment you need. Take lessons or a guided tour. Carve it up!

Sample the groomed runs and trails at Timberline Lodge and Ski Area,  providing the longest ski season in North America. Let fly your tricks and  freestyle on Timberline’s half pipe. Telemark Mt. Hood’s backcountry. New to the sport? Take to Timberline's Summit Pass, formerly known as Summit Ski Area, to tackle beginner trails and runs, and their Snow Bunny  sliding area and Sno Park.

Mt. Hood Skibowl shines with the largest night ski area in the nation as well as Cosmic Tubing illuminated by 600,000+ colored LED lights. Go expert on the area’s 34 black diamond runs, the most of any resort in Oregon.

Rentals and instruction are available through Mt. Hood Outfitters, Otto’s Ski Shop and others. Let someone else drive – Mt. Hood Express has room for your skis, boards, and gear.
