Written by Michael Frayn, Noises Off, is a hilarious spoof of those English bedroom comedies that seem to run endlessly in the English provinces. In theatre terminology, “noises off” refers to commotion offstage. In Frayn’s play, the noises are the backstage yelps and battle cries of the actors who find themselves caught in a sex farce of their own.

The Imperfecta Gallery is excited to invite you to Il Cantastorie (The Storyteller), an exhibition featuring Italian illustrator Marco Calvi and artdoll artist Gioconda Pieracci. On view from April 5 to April 26, the show features an impressive collection of original artdolls, illustrations and stories that retrace the travels of "Il Cantastorie" (The Storyteller) – a mysterious and immortal figure who crosses eras, legends and dreams. Each artwork in the exhibition focuses on a step in the journey of this wondrous character, as he aimlessly wanders around the world meeting new people and mythical creatures. Viewers are guided on this magical journey, one artwork to the next, by Il Cantastorie himself, thanks to Italian author Federico Grasso, who wrote all narrations for this special exhibition. The opening reception is on Saturday April 5th from 5 to 7pm.
