Events in Oregon’s Mt. Hood Territory offer year-round festivals and activities for the whole family in the greater Portland area. Winter’s event calendar is full of snowboarding and skiing events at Timberline Lodge & Ski Area and Mt. Hood Skibowl, plus holiday happenings at Christmas tree farms. Spring events burst upon the scene with blooming flowers and baby farm animals galore. Summertime is filled with an abundance of outdoor activities, festivals, music events, and Farmers' Markets. Celebrate the fall bounty as local communities provide family fun harvest festivals, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted trails. The Clackamas County Fairgrounds & Event Center offers a variety of events throughout the year, including the Clackamas County Fair and Rodeo. Join local author and science illustrator Audrey Sauble to learn about nature journaling at Tryon Creek. This class will introduce a variety of tools and techniques, and participants will learn to record their nature observations using both art and text. Basic art supplies will be available, but you are welcome to bring your own sketchbook and materials. No artistic experience is required. When weather permits, part of the class may be held outside. All Ages are welcome to attend.
Back for the 10th year with a variety of big, hearty beers and cider that are perfect for the season! You'll find beer and cider from McMenamins, and the winning brewer takes home the coveted title in the War for the Oar. Plus, live music!
Many of the local artists and crafts people who supply the museum shop will gather for their first annual Artisan Bazaar. The event is an opportunity to benefit and thank the artists who show their wares here and a chance for shoppers to get a head start on finding the perfect, locally-made holiday presents.
Tables will be set up throughout the museum on the main and second floors to showcase a wide sampling of original works.
