Native Americans used Bagby Hot Springs for healing purposes centuries prior to its "discovery" in 1881 by miner Robert Bagby. Nestled in an old growth forest, clothing-optional Bagby boasts three rustic bathhouses with communal hot tubs and private stalls with cedar tubs. Located 45 minutes south of Estacada on Hwy 224 and FS 63 and 70, the trailhead is a 1.5 mile hike into the springs. Overnight camping is not allowed, although campgrounds are nearby. Call the Clackamas River Ranger District for year-round details regarding road conditions.
38 mile drive from Estacada on the upper Clackamas River Gorge. 1.5 mile hike from Bagby trail head to Bagby natural hot springs. Call Clackamas River Ranger Station for details. Wearing clothes are optional. Winter access may be limited to snow pack.
