Home of the historic Pow Wow Tree. Located on the north bank of the Clackamas River where it joins the Willamette River. The famous “Pow Wow” maple tree marked the place where the different Indian tribes met to make trading agreements, settle community affairs, and conduct wedding ceremonies. Gladstone has something for everyone: parks, boat launch, fishing, sports fields, farmers' market, and small town feel. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the annual Gladstone Chautauqua Festival in August.
