There's a diverse selection of courses in The Territory, from easy greens for the duffer who don't get to go out as much as they like, to links offering more challenging rounds for experts. And each one provides the beauty you would come to expect from Mt. Hood Territory.
Head up to Welches where Mt. Hood Oregon Resort offers 27 holes at The Courses. The beauty of the area is combined with three 9-hole courses that can be done alone or in any combination, to create a fun and memorable round. Pine Cone Nine is the region's oldest course while Foxglove Nine is the signature course. Beginners enjoy Thistle Nine, which is more forgiving than the other two. The course was recently recognized by Golf.com as one of the seven gems of Oregon's 7 Wonders.
Langdon Farms Golf Club is an 18-hole course just outside of Wilsonville. Located in the beautiful countryside of the Willamette Valley, the theme of this championship-quality course plays off the farms that are common throughout the area to create a unique and fun experience. Open to the public, Langdon Farms has been a favorite for locals and visitors alike since it opened in 1995.
Located just outside of Oregon City, Stone Creek Golf Club is renowned for both its affordability and quality, year-round play. Stone Creek combines spectacular views of Mt. Hood with beautifully groomed grounds and just enough hazards to keep things interesting. Because the course is owned by Clackamas County, it is open to the public.
Lake Oswego has a municipal course perfect for the father looking for a quick round. The Lake Oswego Public Golf Course is a par-3 facility nestled in the hillside along Lost Dog Creek. Holes vary from 79-174 yards.
If you're feeling a little out of practice, then book a lesson at Fundamental Golf and Learning Center. There you can brush up on driving, putting and chipping with direction from a PGA professional with more than 30 years of experience in the game.
