Fire Restrictions Notice - July 12, 2024

Beginning Friday, July 12 fire restrictions are in effect in Mt. Hood National Forest. All campfires, charcoal or briquette fires, pellet fires, or any other open fires are prohibited under a Forest Order, including in developed campgrounds. Portable cooking stoves, lanterns, and heating devices using liquefied or bottled fuel, such as propane, are still allowed as they can be instantly switched off. Read the Forest Order here.

Fireworks and explosives (including explosive targets) are prohibited year-round on national forest lands.

Pup Creek Falls Trail Closed

Access to Pup Creek Falls Trail, as well as the trail itself, are closed due to the 2020 Riverside Wildfire. Please check Clackamas River Road closure notices on the US Forest Service website for updates.
